Following attendance at University of New Mexico and service in the U.S. Army, John Canzoneri joined Grobet as a salesman in 1968. He was mentored by one of its original owners, gaining expertise in every facet of Grobet’s business and representing every sales division in the Western sector of the U.S. John was assigned to and achieved success in establishing sales representation in the global environment – Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. John’s personal growth within a growing company was evidenced in his promotion to vice president of sales in 1988 and his eventual assignment to the presidency in 1991. As president, he has been instrumental in directing the company toward its future in manufacturing, expansion, effective consolidation, and improved and innovative business methods. John has spearheaded three acquisitions, one divestiture, relocation of three factories, and consolidation of a distribution center. John’s acute business vision continues to place Grobet on the cutting edge in the domestic and global markets it serves.
