Brent Leftwich has over 30 years of experience in the real estate, land and right of way side of the energy, pipeline, utility, transportation and telecommunication industries. Brent founded Contract Land Staff (CLS) in 1985 and has developed a reputation of bringing innovation, technology, and new ideas into the land and right of way industry. A 1976 University graduate of Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), Brent holds a BA in Geography with concentrations in Urban Planning and Public Administration. He is an International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Certified Instructor of the Right of Way Agent's Development Program as well as a frequent instructor for the CLS Professional Development Institute. He was named IRWA Chapter 8 Right of Way Professional of the Year in 1999, the same year CLS was named Large Employer of the Year by the IRWA. Brent is a sought after presenter at national conferences in the energy and land management industries. He has served as Chair of the IRWA International Environment Committee, is a member of the IRWA International Pipeline Committee, and a longtime member and past President of the IRWA's Gulf State Chapter 8. Mr. Leftwich is married to Mazie Leftwich, who is also active in the company, and they have four children and three grandchildren.
